| It controls the frequency that is sent to the horn instead of the main driver(s). At 5k, only the very highest frequencies are sent to the horn. 4k lowers that "frequency threshold" so the horn handles a wider frequency, and the sound is brighter. 3k widens the range handled by the horn even further, and is the brightest setting.
Keep in mind that you don't even have to have the horn turned on, so you can also use the crossover to set a sort of high rolloff for dark, dubby tones |
