Hey Gang,
I've been on a Mecca of sorts looking for a Mesa PH 115, but I need an 8 ohm/600 W version. I know you can buy them various places online, but I greatly prefer the silver face version (to the newer blackfaces). I've found a number of used 115s, but they're all 400 W.
So my question is, "Does anyone know if Mesa/Boogie made an 8 ohm/600 W silver-faced 115?" or am I chasing my tail?
I've called Mesa, and they couldn't really help me. They did say I can order one from them directly and they'll put the silver grille on it for me for no additional charge. But I'd hope to spend around $300-400 for it, and new from them will be closer to $800 (with shipping and taxes). I might be willing to drop the extra cash, if I know I can't find what I'm looking for.
Thanks! |

| | | | I do have a 2x10, 600W cabinet from the silverface era, which is what started me looking for this. |

| | | I have a silver grill PH115 with the Player Control Network and triangle port and a silver grill version with just the attenuator for the horn and round ports. Both are the 400 watt version and both sound incredible! I greatly prefer the silver grills to the black ones and the Rhino tolex over the Bronco.

| | | | Thanks guys for the tips. I'm starting to think the 600W silver face is a mirage. |

| | | | No, you're right. I did speak with Boogie, and they'll make them with a silver face for no additional charge. So I guess it seems that a silver face 600W cab *could* exist, but it's unlikely.
I'm starting to think it's time to call off the search for the few custom silverface/600W cabs... |
