Mesa Powerhouse 212 stack

First of all, I know, "No Pics, No Cabs!", -if someone could pass on to me how to post some photos of my new Mesa stack, I'd appreciate the info. I really want to show 'em off anyway .

Also, thanks to Ken Jung, Tom Bowlus, and rockstarbassist for their knowledge and time.

My cabs arrived and I'm enjoying their big sound in my living room at this time. IMO they sound round, punchy, and defined (and LOUD). I messed with the Player Control Network crossover for a few minutes and stayed with the 5K setting. I really don't rely on a tweeter much; They're probably set at 10% which is plenty for my style and John Paul Jones-influenced tone. They are very well built cabs from what I see, and for their dimensions and weight, they're not too hard for a guy pushing 50 yrs. old to move around. -I never gig without taking along my handtruck anyway!

For power/eq I'm using my tried and true Demeter HBP-1 pre/Crest CA9 rackmounted setup (another reason why I own a handtruck). I've spent most of the time playing my Ristola-6, but my daughter's Spector NS4CRFM also got some playing time through the rig as well.

I have a few gigs booked in the upcoming months, so they'll get the true test then: "How well do these cabs work with the rest of the band?", but from what I'm hearing out of them right now, I'm very convinced they'll do a fantastic job for my needs.

As I make more room around the house, I plan on A/Bing the Mesa's with my Bergantino HT210/HT115 setup and also with my Aguilar GS112's.

-Derwin

Wow, not too much love for the Powerhouse 212, I guess.

(I think they're very awesome. )

I love 212's. Punchy, but a bit of the low sound 15s produce. Always looking around for a Mesa 212 to try out. They look like the real deal, plus the neo drivers keep the weight under control. Best luck with yours (and post some pix - Just click on the "manage attachments" button in the "Attach files" below the text part of the thread creator, browse to find your pic and follow the prompts).

Thanks, bassman. I really appreciate the info on how to post some pics. Hopefully I can snap a few decent photos with the better half's digi-cam in the morning.
