Hey everyone. I have the opportunity to buy a power house 2x10. except its the older model with the silver grill. Anyone know if the new models are/ sound a whole lot better?

I own a newer black grill PH412 and it's a beast. This cab is incredible. I have seen several silver grill cabs sell locally and on the Internet, and I really don't think you can go wrong either way.

You would be best off finding out the serial number and calling Mesa directly. Find out the year of the cab, and maybe someone can help you a little better.

The grill color makes no difference but indicates the cab is at least 4 years old. The trick is to look on th e back to see if the player control network is there or just a horn level control. The speakers will likely be the same and the cab will be fantastic. I just sold a silver grilled 210 and kind of miss it. But I replaced it with a pair of Powerhouse 112 cabs.
