Mesa Scout Cab

Been out of the loop way too long. Old band mates are looking to get back together to play some garage/surf rock. I have a Mesa Walkabout n want to get just the 15" cab to dock the head in. Does anyone know if Mesa just sells the cab? I've looked in the classifieds without any luck. How much do they go for?

Don't know if they sell the 15 with the slot for the amp, but they certainly do sell an ext cab, which is the same thing without the slot. Though, if you need any REAL volume, I'd suggest looking at 2x12's instead.

Yes the "combo cab" with slot is available by order from any Mesa dealer, in either 4 or 8 Ohms. It's a great cab but quite an awkward carry (single side handle and it'll weigh about 60 lbs with the head in it). I'd consider a 212, pair of 210s or pair of 12s. The Mesa scout cabs are excellent but pricey.

I got the Mesa Scout 15" extension cab used on talkbass for a reasonable price. It's not so heavy in weight--but so heavy in sound! My whole house shakes when it and the Walkabout are on level 2....

I thought the combo cab has a top handle. The extension cab has a side handle.
