Mesa is spanish for Table

Sorry about that, trying to grab attention.

Anywho, I am currently using an Ampeg SVT-410HLF cabinet. I would like to upgrade/expand sometime in the future since I will be purchasing a Mesa M6 Carbine in the coming months. My question is, which of these combinations is best suitable for medium to large venues, good balance of lows and highs, can handle lots of each without getting farty, and would be IYO a good match for the M6?

The possible choices are:

4x12......8x10......2x10 & 1x15......4x10 & 1x15.

I am also into saving cash wherever possible, so if you feel that, say, there is no real benefit to the extra two speakers in the 4x10/1x15 as opposed to the 2x10, then I am interested in hearing so.

All of said cabs would be Mesa as well.

Also, I play aggressively with a pick (pop-punk/metalish stuff).

Thank you and carry on.

A 4x10 plus 1x15 is, in general, a poor match with the single 15 being the week link. For your style of music i'd go with the 8x10 fridge.

I'd take the 4x12. But, the 8x10 would also rock. 410/15 is no no, 210/15 is better, but too small. 4x12 would kick serious booty with the M6.

6x10 or 4x12. I really really wish I had a 4x12. I currently gig with a 6x10.

8x10 tends to be too big. 6x10 is a much more transportable rig and will handle any gig quite easily.

I would check out a PH 2x12. They can be had in 4 ohm as well I believe. Making 2 ohms with your 4 ohm 4x10.
I like how a 2 2x12 rig sounds, as well as being more flexible than a 4x12.

No 2x15"?

In that case, 8x10 or 1x15 + 2x10.

I agree - although I really like the PH 412, I'm really happy with my PH 610... They're both awesome cabs, though - you can't go wrong either way...

Whenever I read 'Mesa', I think of 'Black Mesa'.

I'd say get a second 4x10.

I'd go 412 if I was saving cash and didn't have to lift it :-).

I am really curious as to what this would sound like.

If I were to go with 2 - 2x12's, would I connect them with both speaker cables running from the amp, one to each cab? Or one from the amp to the first cab then another from the first cab to the second?? Also, where do you purchase the 4 ohmers? I only see 8's.

Either way is exactly the same. And, you'd want the 212's in the 8 ohm variety, 2x 8 ohms = 4 ohms.
