Mesa Tone?

So..

What kind of tone does say a Big Block 750 paired with a 2x12 cab yeild awayway? The only demos I can find on Youtube are pick playing metal heads. The reason I'm asking is my local music store recently became a Mesa dealer, and I haven't gotten a chance to get out there yet. So are these generally warm or bright? Punchy or dead? How's the OD? Any input is appreciated
