Mesa Walkabout Power Consumption?

Does anyone know what the draw is with the Scout? No luck with the site. I want to run it off a battery/porto charger and I'm trying to figure out the correct invertor necessary. Is it even possible? Any opinions or experience with this?

perhaps not exactly the scenario you are asking about but ...

I was considering taking a US WA to Europe while I take a 2 yr work assignment over there. I asked here about options and one of them is to use an external voltage transformer. The suggestion was made to look at transformers that could handle 2x the rated watts for the amp. So, if your battery/generator system can deliver 600w with a steady 120v at 6amps you can probably do it. I think the key here is steady as voltage swings could potentially do some damage to the amp.

I'm certain the more knowledgeable electronic types will be along soon to give more qualified answers.

good luck

Average and peak draw should be printed on the back near the line cord. That has been a requirement for decades.

Multiply the voltage times the current and that will give you the watts that it draws.
P= E x I is the formula for that. P= watts E= Voltage I= current
I.E. 120 V x 6 amps = 720 Watts
PFSCHIM is right, you want a steady voltage supply.
Yesterday I had a guy demonstarte a pedal in a parking lot for me.
He ran his 2x12 Fender amp off an inverter and it ran well.

1000 watt inverter will do you nicely. 1500 if you must push hard (better chance of avoiding voltage sag).
