Tuner>Sansamp> Mesa.
I use mine to get a little more dirt out of my SVT without turning up. It's a fun toy. Playing with the knobs will give you lots of different tones. Also, if your amp does go down at some point, you'll still have signal going to the FOH.

I'd just stick with the OD circuit on the 750. Sounds way better to my ears than the Sansamp.

Why do you want to buy something that you don't even know what it'll sound like? Sounds like GAS to me, and a needless piece of gear. The Mesa has built in grit, and a great sounding preamp.

Nothing against the Sansamp but you are talking about adding a tube overdrive emulator gizmo to a high end handmade hybrid amp with the best real tube overdrive circuit ever designed for bass guitar use already built into the amp. Its redundant and in my opinion would degrade the overall tone of your amp. I have owned both pieces of gear and can say with confidence that if you are into bass overdrive, you already have everything you need in the Big Block.

You should run your tuner via one of the tuner outputs on the Mesa so the tuner itself isn't in your signal chain.

Sansamp > BB750

Like others have said, the actual real tube overdrive on the Mesa itself sounds pretty good. Experiment with your volumen and tone knob with the overdrive engaged and see how wildly the tone and behaviour changes, it's versatile and reactive. However, with the BB750 what you can't do is apply overdrive AND different EQ settings which is one thing the Sansamp will allow. But that's why I suggested experimenting with your vol/tone knobs on the bass, I'm guessing you'll find it provides plenty of sonic opportunities.

If you absolutely HAD to buy something I personally would get a much less expensive overdrive pedal like a VT Bass or something than the Sansamp. But that's just me. I didn't much care for the Sansamp I owned in the past. Didn't sound bad or anything, I just didn't think it did $100 more than what a cheaper pedal can.

Like Gastric said, you can also run your tuner out of the tuner out on the Mesa. My SVT doesn't have a tuner out so I run it in line. Either way is ok. I put mine first so I can use the mute option on the signal before it hits the FOH.
