Micro heads...

Sign in to disble this ad
...which other not too much expensive micro head (100/200 w) beside G&K MB200 is available on the market? I mean really "micro". Something to be easily put in the gig bag pocket, either for rehearsal or as a possible emergency backup; therefore width / depth not more than 210 / 210 mm, as for the G&K MB200... that remains the main candidate. But just to have some more choice elements

I see this Ashdown Little Giant, too, but while I find everywhere lots of raveing about the goodness of G&K MB200, can't see anything about those heads (both the 1kw orange and the 350 w green)... are they so unreliable or not so good????

Ashdown Mibass (220W & 550W), the successor of the Little Giant.

If you can free 2 cm of space: Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0

Only those two so far.

Carvin Micro Bass, ...delivers 200W into the 8 Ohm and 250W into the 4 Ohm speaker cabs!

I own it, but in combo model (MB12)!
Works just fine for a low budget lightweight D class amp!

Check out a Phil Jones D-200, excellent value for the money. Probably not the loudest by any means, but the D-600 should have that covered (probably too big & too expensive for your requirements). Use it mostly as a studio amp, back up on the road & rehearsal situations myself, very nice!
