| | | | I also loop the cables through the handle. This helps the head not walk off the cab when i am playing loud and also the "OOPS! Just tripped over the wire!" episodes. |

The head would not come off the cab as I use speak-ons. When I switched to the HD410, I just ran the cable down and underneath (it has casters). Any pulls on the cable do not pull the cable out or pull the head off the cab(s).
I like the through-the-handle idea though...except for my AE410's since the head sits on top of the handle. The DB's and HD have handles on the side that would work well.

It easily stuck to the side of the cab as well. I think if you put some of this stuff even on the feet of the amp, you'd have plenty left over and it might hold beautifully.

| | | | I do the cable-handle-loop - thing for a long time. For the lightweight amp I add a square piece of sponge rubber under the amp.
I do this because I saw the amp moving on the cab, forced by vibrations.
Mostly I use "average weight amps", no problems. OK, in 1981 a MusicMan 212'' - cab fell off its bottom cab, a Peavey 215''. And it took the GK 400 RB on its top with it. From this time I use the rubber foam, not only for the amp, but for the cabs.
Except the cabs covered with rat fur.

Sometimes I'm frightened at how much force it takes to get a pedal off my board. Imagine coating the entire underside of my amp head with it and mashing it down on my cab. I'd never get it off!
