Micro? for JimmyM

Hey Jimmy, In another thread you posted that you had a gig using your Micro Vr rig for a 300 person setting. Was that with no P.A. support? Also I have read that you like to mic up your cab when possible but have you tried the DI at a gig with P.A. support? If so how did it work out was it good for the FOH tone you like? I'm thinking about buying this same rig for my smaller gigs (200 - 300 people) but I am worried it won't keep up. We're not excessively loud at these gigs instead we try to keep it so that people setting at there tables can have conversation with each other without yelling. Thanks for any info

i answered you in the other thread as well, but you expanded your question here, so i'll just say that it works great for me and i don't have to crank it, and we try to do the exact same thing on our gigs...turn up decently loud but not so loud people can't talk. we try to get a good mix with the drums and then leave it. i usually have quite a bit of headroom left. it's not a super loud combo but it's got some ass.

Ok Thanks Jimmy. Sounds like a Micro vr is in my future then.
