i'm not quite sold on the 260 yet and thankfully (or unfortunately) i ordered it through MF so i can send it back if not quite happy with the sound. i was looking for an easy way to try both of them out and the local GC won't demo either. funny thing is, it's not even here yet and i'm thinking about how i'm gonna get another schroeder cab to stack which almost rules out the 260 before i've played it. once i start buying stuff...

Here is my IP112 with a SWR Grand Prix. Still deciding what I ultimately want to do for a pre, but this isn't bad at all really. Also, has a pic of my Flipster in it.

Here's my micro rig. 5 watts of pure class A tube tone. This little head works great with one or two 112 cabs and it actually powers my 810 quite impressively.

Its a fabulous smppth overdriven tone. For $99 USD, it cvant be beat.

figured it was worth reviving, but the wtx-260 has since been swapped out for this:

and FWIW, this is way too loud for my bedroom.

I've been at it again. Rig is getting less micro as time goes by... I added another 112 to the mix.

Yeah, the worst way to keep your rig reasonable and what YOU need instead of what you THINK you need.

Here's my new XVT. Imagine it sitting on an Aggie GS112NT. Imagine the SVT sound from a 5-pound head.

It doesn't take much for this thing to get very loud and rattle walls.

That's a 4 ohm avatar by the way.

Something Completely Different

I play trumpet and Bass and I was looking for a rig that I could use to amplify them both. I like to mess with effects on the trumpet so I use a TC Helicon Voice create which can plug right into the microphone channel and my VT Bass pedal will plug into the Line in.

This is a small 19 lb powered PA speaker with 800 watts class D, 8 inch woofer and compression tweeter. It has a built in mixer so I can plug in a microphone and Bass at the same time (This could be really good with an acoustic Bass) and it mixes the two inputs to an output XLR. So I can use it as a monitor and send the same signal to the house PA. I figure this will give me a pretty good representation of what I sound like in the mains and the house subs can fll in the bottom. This speaker rolls off -3db at 60Hz.

Mine was on back order from Music 123, but it should be here on Monday. Too bad I will be on a business trip all week. I'll take some picture and post a review when i get back.

Micro enough...Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0 and a pair of 12T speakers. Total weight: 68 pounds. Each speaker = 32 pounds, head = 3.75 pounds. Rated 600W into this pair of speakers @4 ohms.

Incidentally...way to resurrect a dead thread.....

No pics, but I have a LMIII paired with their Traveler 2x10 cab.

Love it! Gets the job done every time (when applicable...large shows don't count!)
