Micromark!

Just picked up a Markbass Micromark (50w-6"speaker)... NICE! I frequently play at "small group" meetings... this amp is a dream come true! A bit pricey ($425.00- after coupon)- but my current (Markbass CMD 121-P) amp is my main amp- so... I'm very happy... I'm a Markbass believer.

Congrats, pal. That's a cool little comgo, I hear. I'm digging my Markbass stuff, too (LMIII head, Traveler 151P cab, and CMD 121H combo).

Just picked up on myself, and loving it. I play acoustic bass guitar, and this fits the jam vibe so well.

Micromark 801

stopped by my local GC today... my eye was caught by a Markbass Micromark 801... just purchased the 6"- 3 weeks ago ($479.00 list price)... figured the 8" version would be around $600.00 or so... it was $499.99!!... promptly drove home... grabbed the 6"er (4 days left on the 30 day return policy)... gave my man $20.00... and walked out with the Micromark 801!!!! Even has the yellow speaker! I use the 12" combo w/Hartke 12" ext. cab for gigs... but this 8" is great... couldn't believe it was only $20.00 more.

Hi All,

I am very tempted by the lovely MicroMark 801 : compact, lightweight, simple, but enough sounding and powerful ??? - I am a guitar converse beginning (toughly and lately) the bass (brand new Squier JB VM NT) - Is the 801 enough standalone for playing in a soul/blues band (4-6 musicians) or is it an amazing loud compact "toy" for home practice an nothing more ? Of course, there's the remarkable CMD121P, but it is twice the price... But should I go there instead of "monkeying" with a 801 ? What's your opinions, you trained BassGuys ?

A+!

OK - I have the answer by a test done along with a trained bassist friend a few days ago - on n'est jamais mieux servi que par soi-même !

No.

Yes. I also went with a Fender Rumble Bass 25 (debugged) and it could compete...

Yes, when I will need it. For the moment, I'll stay with the Rumble Bass 25 which moreover I had now for free.

A+!
