MIDS

Can someone help me out with this mids lingo? Im trying to decide between a Bergantino HT112ER, aguilar GS112, and a GK neo 112... but this lingo about mids is baffling me. So what exactly does it mean when its said the GS112 has scooped mids but is a very fat cab..... or that the Berg is very even across the mids? Can someone point me to a youtube clip that is like the GS112 and like the HT112ER so I can hear a difference. I played the berg and liked it but can find an aggy or GK to play. Guy at the store said he doesnt stock the GS cabs because the Bergs are so much better?????? Give me some help guys.

You don't want to use Youtube to listen to sonic differences. You want to go to a music store and listen. I think the quickest test is to plug an amp with a graphic EQ into just about any cab. Play it flat then set the EQ like a smile. That is a mid-scooped tone.

Yeah I went to ATL and could only find the berg to play. No DB, GS, or Gk in the stores i went to and one was ATL bass gallery, the only dealer of aguilar and berantino in the state. I really dig the sound of Paul Turner on the song Runaway by Jamiroquai. Any suggestions including the DB cabs for that sound? I for sure dont want a modern hi fi clanky slap tone........ if that makes any sense. Linguistics is one of the biggest problems.

Scooped mids is what would get you that hi-fi clanky tone.

So i should just forget the GS cabs and probably the GK too.
How do the DBs and HT112ER compare?

The GS is mid scooped by itself. The Berg will do any tonal style you wish.

Great so that eliminates that one... Now what about the DB112, I really dig the looks of the cabs and I noticed Paul Tuner from Jamiroquai uses them and I like his sound.
