Nice

Very sharp little stack. I have a pair of DB 12 inch cabs powered by a Carvin BX1200. Kills.

M3 Carbine/Aguilar DB210 for synth, Walkabout/Aguilar DB112nt for bass guitar. (though I normally use a GB Uber 212 with the WA). Mini-mighty tone monsters, both.

Ya, the BA108 turned out to be a very pleasant surprise for me when I plugged into one. I was expecting it to sound like crap, but it sounds pretty big and present in a mix for an 8" 25w practice combo that costs $100.

Couldn't agree more. When I was at the local music shop playing with a Jazz the owner came over and asked what I was playing through. He was amazed himself on how good it sounded for $79 how can you not grab it?

You can get one for $79 now? Nice!

More pics, guys! Always a sucker for amp porn, even micro amp porn.

Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0 combo with a 12T speaker...sitting on top of a Shuttle 210 speaker cab.

600W peak output, 36 pounds in the combo, 32 pounds in the 210.

I ran that setup for better than a year!

Here's my new one.

Genz Streamliner 900 with a pair of Acme B112 Series III Flatwounds. Love it.

I have to admit, seeing that Ampeg BA-108 in here surprised me. Interesting! Can you guys elaborate a little bit on it? I was just looking at the 1x10/1x8 last night as a low-volume option. Would it work with a 5-string? I know the best info I could get would be to try one out for myself, but thought I'd see if you guys have any more info. Thanks in advance guys!

Remind me Jimmy... that's a Heil PR40 mic, yes?

Also, I'll throw a couple mini rigs into the mix... Hope they qualify? lol The VJr./PF115 has a pretty good rock tone, but I really want to get a SVT210AV... that's what I tried the VJr. out with at the shop and it sounds awesome.

Similar to Pilgrim's shuttle 6.0-12t rig above, only mine is a matching 12t cabinet on the bottom.

600 watts output.
32 lbs for combo + 27 lbs for the matching cabinet = 59lbs!

600 watt 2x12 weighing 59 lbs is hard to beat!

And I love those 210 ampeg micro stacks!

I'll throw my "shortstack" up here for now but I'll have to re-post in a day or two as things are working out in my favor here for some wierd reason.

Not shown is the second amp used to drive the highs but that whole contraption will be being replaced by the 800rb I picked up today. I'll be losing at least 2/3 of the weight of the amp section and gaining one of my favorite SS amps of all time. It'll also be getting latches to buckle the whole thing together. It's a 1212/6 rig that becomes it's own dolly.

Most my stuff is always a "work in progress" but the addition of this new (1983) amplifier puts me in a position where, with the addition of a few little odds and ends I can call this thing done. I'm getting sick of all these plain black boxes I have everywhere so it'll be getting recovered is something different. Probably either a dark green or maroon tolex.

The new one in it's current state...haven't even got her home yet. Will be ditching the rack and tuner and building it into it's own head case with a little cut out of the back for the cooling fins. That will be the same width as the cabs and the whole rig will buckle together as one unit for easy transport. I've never weighed the cabs, I'll do that but all I know is they are light and solid.

Some @#!+ went my way today. That is one of the cleanest 800rb's I've seen. Tiny bit of rash on the ears, the rest looks practically new. It's not even missing any of the knob centers.
