M-ROD: not so much.
Whichever; it's not my thread.
Many of these rigs seem contrapuntal to the point of the thread, by my very devalued .02
Carry on.

How about requiring people to post a pic of themselves carrying their rig?

Oh, and nice rig! | Thanks! Here's the final version of the "I can actually carry all of this in one trip no matter how long the walk from the car to the gig is" rig pic. I've added an ampwedge since the Focus doesn't hae a kickback stand on it. I bought one for my guitar player for his birthday and liked it so much I got one for myself.
The picture also includes my new-to-me Dargie 5SHp Bongo and my new-to-me Hofner Icon Beatle Bass. It's been a fun month.
FWIW, I think anyone posting anything that requires a dolly or wheels is not posting a mini rig. It's like going into a "Show your 4 string bass" thread and posting a 7 string and saying "well, there are four strings on this bass..." |

I think the silver cloth and black of the cab matches the amp and MIM P nicely

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Dec 2011 Location: Hollywood, CA | | My Mini Rig-O-Doom dropped at GC today, but I have a crisis at work (which in involves a lot of waiting for other people to do their tasks) so I can't go pick it up tonight. It's a Markbass NY121 cab, to expand my CMD 121P combo.
I know what you're thinking: that's a mini rig all right, but where's the doom?
The CMD 121P has been upgraded with a Markbass Tube 800 head, that's where it is! I'll post pics of my 800W 2x12 I can carry in two hands this weekend.

On the right, Ampeg BA112 (top) with line out to Peavey DCP1000 (middle)-> Avatar C15 (bottom). Sound surpirsingly good for such a hodge-podge.

They are 'super' because they handle a ton of power (not only thermally... i.e., the traditional cabinet power rating, but also 'mechanically'... they won't fart out until you push them to stupid levels). So, one of these little 12's gives you 210+ volume with much more true low end, and a more even, present midrange response. | |

I also had a Promethean but I sent it back... | Can you tell me a bit about what you like and dislike about the Carvin. I've been looking at the 15" version for a couple of days now and would love some first-hand input. I'm looking for a combo that is versatile. Something small enough to lug around easily, with a DI for my church's system, and a speaker out for my 4x10 cabinet. Oh, and the built in compressor intrigues me, too. These seem to be ideal for my needs....but as an owner, what's your take on the amp?
