Finally got around to taking a couple of (half ) decent pictures of it today .

I'd never tried it with a fretless bass either, until today. Niiiiiice ! Sounded great with the VPF control up just a notch, to thin things out, playing walking basslines along to Miles Davis on the iPod.

Bass karaoke heaven !

That's a neat rig. What are your settings?

Here's mine

Here's my mini rig of doom. Probably weighs 120 lbs but I can carry it all -- plus an Auralex Isolater and a music stand and an instrument stand -- using a Lee Valley Dolly, and with my bass in the other hand.

Competes with drums, two guitars, organ, three horns and six vocalists.

Here's proof: http://www.johnredpath.com/external/...romo_cut05.mov

The little blue box on the right doesn't count. It's a mini mini mini rig of not quite doom. A 50 watt Yorkville combo with one 10" speaker.

Cheers!

Thanks bugbass! It was largely on your advice that I went for the Markbass cabs in the first place (IIRC).

If you're looking for 12"s, keep in mind that the "upright" Traveler 121H (like mine) is being replaced now with a "sideways" version (different dimensions). This could be good news for you, as I think that you said you use a MB 4x10" ( ?).

Anyway, good luck !

I use this mainly for the big outdoor gigs. Rarely need PA support.

Actually more gloom than doom. No boom, no zoom, won't fill a room. Kidding aside, works best if I sit on it while practicing so notes can be felt through my butt. A gift from my son. I try to not take things too seriously.

Trace Compact 15 and SWR SM-400S. Looking for a carpeted 2x10 trace or another compact 15.
