I am switching over from drums to bass, so I don't know much about amps. I am looking for probably used equipment that is capable of filling medium sized bars and clubs, and competing with drums, playing hardcore/indie. What is the minimum wattage I can get away with, and what are some good heads/cabs to look for that can be had on the cheap? Thank you! |

You can buy some stellar used gear on the cheap if you scan the TB classifieds and local CraigsList.
*Will you have any PA support?

What kinda gear are the guitar players using?

You can always turn it down some

| | | Another good Craigslist search engine is www.statewidelist.com
Quick and easy to see things on Craigslist in your state and surrounding states.
It gives ebay results also if you are interested in those. Good Luck! |

A bit depends if you have band mates that listen enough to blend with volume levels.
