I bought a Eden D410XLT about 12 years ago and really loved that cab. After having back surgery 5 years ago I sold it and got two Aguilar GS112 which are great cabs and then "retired" from music. Recently I've been playing actively again and I have moved back to four string passive basses. As great as the Aguilars are I really missing the the sheer power and thick mid punch of the Eden. I had thought about 2 D210XLT and stack them vertically (I'm 6'4") so the sound isn't at my pant legs.
Been out of it for so long I though maybe I'd get some recommendations for a lighter modern alternative to the D410XLT.

While not exactly the same, the Bergantino AE410 is in that 'tone universe'... tight down low, and plenty of grind up top. 62 pounds (lighter than a single 210XLT!), and only around 16" deep. It only comes in 4ohms. The 2 x AE210 would get you there also, but for more cash.
Another cab that has a bit of that vibe is the Genz Benz NeoX212... tight and bright and a bit grindy.
You are correct that the Ag 112's you have are more in line with the Eden XST line... wide, deep, a touch scooped, and a bit more hi fi up top.

Hadn't looked at the Bergantino's but they look really interesting and I'm glad to know that they are in the family of tones I'm looking for. Unless I can find a ridiculous deal on one I will have to wait until I get gigging steady to pay for one. I have seen some D210XLT going pretty cheap so I may just pick up one of those for the moment and sit it on one of my GS112's. I know they are heavy but anything under 70lbs seems light to me. My older Crown Macro Tech 1200 is around the 80 lbs. mark. Thank God for hand trucks and drummers!
