I have not tried my acoustic/electric module set up yet. I'm very sure it will sound nice!

Smile momark black 800

i have a little mark tube 800 and was wondering how the momark black 800 compares since it has a real tube preamp and not a mini with solid state circuits. i like the attack of the head but prefer the warmer natural sound of tube and was thinking i could get the attack with the tube with my basses such as a my musicman stingray or deluxe p bass. any input would be appreciated.

thanks, Derek

Hello, picked up a momark lmk and Eden 112 cab for $650 used...thinking I got a decent deal. Will be arriving within the next 1-2 weeks. I'm excited as this will be my first venture outside of combo amps. I have a large fender combo that is very heavy. I'll post some pictures when it arrives!

Cool! Congrats, the LMK version was my first, I got another frame since, with plenty of modules!

Have fun!

Hi,

I got a very good offer (at least I think it is pretty good), a MoMark Mute 600 with Graphic EQ for about 500€.

I really like the markbass little mark sound and style, so my question is: does the graphic eq and the class d amp still bring the typical midrange sound that other markbass amps have and does the graphic eq effect the same frequencies + some more, that a normal 4-band markbass eq effects?

Thanks for reply!

Personally, I think they all are very similar.

Anyone ever had a tube preamp module go bad? It just stopped working? I switched the preamp module and the head worked fine. Could it be the tube inside?

I supposed it could have gone bad. Mine still work.
I did open mine up...it has a tiny tube hard wired inside.

I just got a Mobass 500 frame w/Tube pre,EQ42S graphic and a mobass single knob master module. What an awesome concept.I would like to see module sales and swaps on this site. That way we could experiment with out breaking the bank. That way if you get tired or not like a module put it up to trade for a different one. What do you guys think? I looking a eq7g graphic and a mvvl master. Thanks

I suppose that would work...but I have the mods I need/want.
They are all pretty much cool and work great like all MarkBass stuff.

There is nothing not to like...if it has the features you want!

I have all of them but the HE stuff which I'm not sold on.

The swap/ sale option would be for people say bought a parametric eq but wants to trade for a graphic or someone who buys the amp frame and can buy modules that a Markbass owner doesn't want.I have been an Eden guy for 20 years but I have to say this is one of the best ideas I've seen in the development of an amp.Very cool option.
