Mono or stereo Jack in my HA3500?

Sign in to disble this ad
I am wondering if there would be any difference in the sound by using stereo cable over my current mono cable.

From what i can tell my bass is stereo output, atleast it has 3 wires connected (checked inside the bass). so should i get a stereo jack cable to my amp?

Does my Hartke HA3500 have stereo input jacks?

Hope you got my questions

Most likely, you have an active bass. The ring terminal is for the battery. It's mono.

The inputs on the ha3500 are mono. Your bass is likely mono also, if you have 3 wires going to your output jack you likely have active electronics and the 3rd wire is battery power. The jack will be a stereo output jack but that is only because it acts like an on off switch to your basses pre amp when your mono cord is plugged in. A stereo cord will do nothing for you except your bass pre amp might not get any power from the battery if you use one.

The only bass that I know of that uses a stereo output is the Rickenbacker 4001/4003

No, and it doesn't have dual pre or power amps either, so the question is academic.
