how well will a genz neo-x 2x12 hold up? feeding it off of a streamliner 900, playing loud fast punk rock.

will the genz truly replace a 4x10 cab?

You wanna be loud? You need more speakers.

The 4x10 will win.

If the place has a nice PA you could go ampless and just bring a DI.

That depends on the sensitivity, response and displacement of both.

i can't tell you which would be louder as I've got no real world experience with any 4x10 but the NeoX-212t is plenty loud with a Mesa Walkabout so I'm guessing it'll be fine with 900 watts from the Streamliner

I'm no expert, but: The 212 is a monster. I've only played through it with a GBE 1200, and that thing is loud. I couldn't tell you the tonal characteristics (which I think is the only thing you have to be concerned about) between the 410 and the 212, but yeah, that thing can get loud. I've used my 1x12 with my Shuttle 9.0 for a punk practice... you should be fine.

FWIW, the sensitivity of the 2x12 is 101 db.

When in doubt, get two of the same cabs. Especially smaller cabs. 212 could be better for a smaller stage and two 212's are better for a bigger stage.

What 410 are you comparing it to? Or just in general? Almost impossible to tell you because every 410 is different.
