I don't really mean for gig, and for practice. But for like differend tones I guess. Like having an SVT and a Orange. Bad example, I know, but you know. Like 2 way different amps or something.
Anybody do this? |

edit: I just remembered I also have a third rig for playing at honme which is an old Fender M80 guitar combo...I live in an apartment and it can't get very loud without sounding like poop so it keeps my volume in check.

I do carry a PJB rig and an Orange Tiny Terror rig to every gig though. Both are easy to transport and give me lots of different tones to play with. |

The one I gig with is a SWR Head & a Ampeg SVT410HLF cab (Heavy but worth every pound).
Then I've got my Home/Practice rig, it's an Old Peavey Head and a really old Traynor cab. (Nasty looking set-up, but it actually sounds pretty darn good).
I suppose if I pile all my other crap together I could do one more rig if needed....

I've finally mastered the bass, does anyone know what those other 3 strings are for?

I have my dragon setup (M9 & LDS nEarful 15/6) that's clean and loud enough to hurt, and a Walkabout with 2 Scout 12s for modularity, tonal variety and whatever other pathetic rationalization I can concoct in order to justify having way more gear than I need .

The cat is there for increased high-end response

Only one goes out because I like a 4 lb Shuttle 6.0 vs. a 50 lb rack with a Glock HeartCore. And the Shuttle sounds great.

Also, the G-K had already proven itself reliable after doing around 200 gigs with it - and sounds great in it's own right... For cabs, I usually keep atleast an 810 or 610 around forhard rock, modern rock and metal, and a 215 for classic rock, blues, and country - and will also typically keep around a 410 and a 115(always used separately, though) for smaller volume needs than my typical gigging situation...
Besides, if one can afford the luxury, it's not bad to be able to leave one rig at a rehearsal space, and have another ready for gigging...

If I use the Ric-O-Sound on my 4003 and run the bridge pup through the SWR rig and the neck pup through the VB-2 412 rig it's like playing two basses at ones.
