I don't know if I'd pay that for a 65. It's cool and all, especially with the matching cab, but I doubt 65 watts through a 1x15 will be enough for most situations outside of studio work and JimmyM gigs. I had the big brother of this amp, the HD130 for a while and it wasn't half bad, but certainly not spectacular. Pretty good for a reverse-hybrid. I'm not sure what these go for on a regular basis. I paid $50 for my HD130 but it wasn't working (only needed a fuse ).

Awesome I never really heard about musicman tube amps, I had a fender bassman 20 with a 15inch speaker it was a combo and it was to quiet to play gigs.

I just wanted to make sure it was not something really rare, if so I would try to find space for it, but it really would have no use for me.

sounds like you got a killer deal on a tube , did the guy you buy it from not know abotu tube amps?

Yeah they're interesting amps. Solid-state pre with a tube power amp. The earlier models had a tube phase inverter. My HD130 had a half-power mode too so you could drop it down for lower volume situations. I have no idea why the guy thought the amp was broken. He said it was in the back of his closet, hadn't used it in years, wouldn't start up so he just wanted to get rid of it. I figured it couldn't be too bad to fix up, first check was the fuse. Wasn't there. After that it was fine. Got some fresh tubes, it lasted a while. I ended up trading that an a 1x12 cab for a twin reverb.

OH my, this was my first AMP back in 1983. I can't imagine that it was the 65 W model as I pushed a huge Cerwin Vega 18" reflex speaker cabinet with a front loaded 12". That think shook my neighborhood. LOL I always thought it was quite strange to have the two obvious channels and inputs on it. Anyway, I played hard rock/metal through that thing for a while. When I stepped up into better players, I started looking at enhancing the setup with a power amp. Ended up selling it and moving on to the mighty SVT.
Sorry, I just couldn't resist putting in my 2 cents for I loved that thing. Was my first. LOL
