I have a Warwick Blue Cab that has awesome tone.
They don't make them anymore, but I'd be interested
to hear the Warwicks.

| | | | Put a Carvin BX2000 head on a Carvin BRX10.4 cab and literally smoke any one of those amps (1250.00 US).
Heck I’d put a Carvin BX500 head on an Avatar TB153 (4 ohm) and win that competition for less than a grand (US). |

| | | | even more In that price range, you could even afford a Genz Benz atop an Avatar TB153. |

To our fellow american good brands like Avatar/berggie are not available on this side of the Atlantic and Carvin is not very common here.

What is a LIVE bass amplifier? Is that Brit slang for a "combo"?
If not, why would one want a DEAD bass amplifier?
If it's not live, why would you amplify it?
And for a thousand pounds, you can take your pick of dang near any amplifier on the market.

What sells for $1500 in the US will very likely go for more than 1000 pounds in the UK if it's US-made. That's probably the reason why something like the Mesa Walkabout doesn't make their list. Conversely, European-made Markbass and Ashdown gear that sells in the US for $1500 probably sells for well under 1000 pounds in the UK.

I currently have the MAG EVOII which is the one range down version of the Ashdown they have at the number one spot, all be it about 250W less aswell at 307W, but find it a very good , and can be loud but clear at the upper ranges, and will be finding out how effective it is along with a guitar and drums very soon hopefully in the next month.
Also there is a great deal of bass amp makers i never heard of till i joined this forum, due to the fact that they arent sold over here in england, and pretty sure ashdowns are hard to come by in america, from what ive heard.
