My friend's dad found a bass head in the trash. I asked my friend what it was, (No musical background) and he said he would find out and tell me the next day. He called me up this morning and told me it was a GK Backline 25 125w Head. I'm going to his house later today to try it and see if it works. If it does, I'll try and buy it from him. Good find, or not?

However I don't know anything about the inner workings of this particular amp construction-wise, and you may have to pay an up front bench charge from an amp tech to take a look inside. From there one would have to decide if the cost of repairs, if it's fixable, is worth it to them.

Thought it was major damage. Turns out it was only a $20 capacitor. |
