Thank you for the replies. To respond generally, it is true that science had to lay some sacrifice at the altar of art. However, I did cut pieces of 1/2" styrofoam insulation from Lowe's and line the interior sides and top to dampen whatever it is that goes on inside. There were three different makes of casters on it so those were replaced, as well as the metal corner protectors.

This particular cab is ported via two horizontal vents running across the middle. So the top speaker ports below and the bottom speaker ports above. I don't know if that was the original design. The sides and top of the cab are solid pine and the face side is pretty rough pressboard. The cab had the originalbadge. Serial no. 5E-70518. Couldn't find a serial number decoder on the web for Peavey.

Grill cloth not straight. Noted. That's an easy fix. And yes, there is gold metallic threading throughout for extra razzle dazzle.

As for the drivers, Avatar had some Celestions but they were 150 American for each. Maybe I'll switch out once our new project starts getting some paid gigs.

Uncle Pecos would make a good cabinet design:

I dig it. I wouldn't use it myself. But I dig the novelty of it, and I could picture that theme becoming popular around here.

I think it's pretty cool, but it really needs some lights behind the cloth that flash while you play!

The only thing I'd be worried about is the big cutout of Muttley blocking the speakers. Other than that, it's very well done.
