My first amp dilemma!

I don't have much amp gas, in fact I don't gas for anything but basses. My Epifani PS112 and Markbass LMII have kept me very happy for a little longer than a year now. But, I do have curiosities . When Hartke introduced their HyDrive line and released all those bass celebrity endorsement videos I was definitely curious. After a while that faded and I totally forgot about them. Fast forward to yesterday when I was down at Hot Licks letting a fellow TBer try out a bass of mine. Before he got there I was jamming around with a HyDrive 115C and I was totally blown away! Ever since I found got my little setup together I haven't found another rig that's even come close and here's this combo that's right there with it and set totally flat! I didn't get enough time with it to tell if it could replace my rig but it's definitely in the same league. My point here is... I wanna buy it! And I have the funds but I don't have any need for a second amp. Why I posted this here I really don't know, I just felt like I had to tell someone, lol.

My advice: Resist the GAS.

If what you have has been working well for you, keep it. Spend the money on something else.

Take it from someone who has spent WAY too much $ on bass gear.

This is exactly what I thought after typing this thread up... I'm not sure what I should nor if anythign could actually b suggested to but I felt liek it would've been a waste to just up and delete it all. There are plenty of "Ummm... OK?" threads floating around TB, what's one more ?

Just a thought, but there's certainly no harm in owning more than one bass amp. In fact, no harm in owning several-..unless you don't play at all. I'll just suggest you indulge yourself a little bit, seems like you're normally pretty reserved and conservative with your spending, so let go just this once, and have some fun.
