Hey All I just picked myself up a New Amp. A lil Mark bass LMK!!!! 2 channel 500 watt amp. It was on sale at a music store near where i live gave it a try and fell in love with it!!!! 5 mins latter i was walking out with it under my arm...and a bank account with a lil less money in it..lol. Been a GK man for a long time still have my 1001rbII which i still love. But i have to say after playing this lil markbass i was blown away by it. Since i have never used one before just wondering what you out there can tell me about them...how do they compare to say the GK MB500.?? what are the pros cons...whatever you can give me that will help me get to know my new baby better. So far i LOVE it Very Loud and Very Clean!! Cant wait to Plug this baby My Megoliath 810.....it think it will be Heaven!!! Thankx All,Cheers!!!~Elliot

It's actually Class AB.

Has a SMPS (switch mode power supply) but an analog amp, not class D.
Great amps. I've not used the 2 channel LMK, just the LMII. Basically the same, but single channel (I think ).
I'd usually have the EQ flat & use the VLE @ 8-9 o'clock, & VPF @ 7-8 o'clock.
Enjoy!

I thought that too, Charlie, but the LMK is (was -- it appears to have been discontinued) not the same as the LMII/III heads, and does indeed seem to be class D as far as I have been able to ascertain.

Not that it makes much difference, IMO.

I read the initial post as LMKII, my Bad. The manual on the website specs the LMK as also being Class AB though, which Markbass calls "analog.". They call Class D "digital." But like you, I don't think it matters a whit anyhow. FWIW, I loved my friend's Little Mark II the couple of times I played through it sitting in on her gigs.

Well Whatever class it maybe in the end....the one thing it is....is amazing!!!! Just had a chance to play it through my Megoliath 810 and yeah i have to say my GK 1001rbII Has nothing on it as far as volume goes.... they are very much the same sounding with the EQ flat...i think the LMK is a lil bit more clean...which i really like!!! Cant wait for my New Fender Jazz deluxe V to get in next week....and play her though this baby....Oh I love new Toys!!!
