My hartke Hydrive 210c broke down but with a happy ending!

Here's my story: About 4 months ago I bought a new Hydrive 210 combo from Daddys Junky Music in RI.
4 weeks ago I took it to a gig and I was having a static issue. The next day I tried to recreate it at home and instead of the static i got almost no output! I lost all bass tone, just mid and treble. I thought i blew the speakers. So i went back to Daddys and the salesman, Kurt, checked everything out and came to the conclusion that it wasnt a blown speaker but something in the amp itself. So off to warranty land it goes! This afternoon I get a call from the main office telling me to come pickup my amp at the Warwick store. I get there and to my surprise(and the salesman) they shipped me a NEW replacement amp!!!! I dont know if this is a Larry Hartke policy or a Daddy's thing but all I can say is YAHOO!!! I think Hartke sent the replacement because it came in a Hartke box strapped with Hartke name on the tape and the fed ex label was still on it. Anyway just wanted to share that with you folk who are thinking about getting a Hartke rig, especially from Daddys....

not exactly the headline to a happy ending story...really only tells half the story and makes it look like the amp broke down and you're looking for advice. but since it was a happy ending story, i'm glad for you...i'd have given the thread title a more positive statement, though.

Glad to see Hartke is right on the ball with these things, Bob. Now if I can just get Epiphone to cooperate like that and send me my Thunderbird!

bassplayerbob,

Sorry to hear you're still having problems, check to make sure the nut on the input jack is tight...if you haven't already. Call me Monday and I'll have this taken care of immediately! 201-680-8153 Cell

Not a Hartke user but I think that is a really cool move from Larry Hartke to do! Kudos Larry!
