My Mesa 400+ and 6L6 output tubes

Sign in to disble this ad
I have some new 6l6's that someone just wrapped in paper with out thinking. Thus they are not matched to each other that I can tell. They are a set of Mesa str 454, all of them,..... or I dont even know if mixing matters with a Mesa 400+?
I usually just buy matched pairsand am wondering if installing these new 454's inadvertantly will be fine?
Do any of you folks know the answer?

Mesa individually tests and labels all their name brand tubes. The "str 454" is the Mesa rating, and you want other tubes with that rating for a "match". *

*Mesa's tube ratings are another thing entirely. Don't trust that number in place of a professional bias job.
