My new Mesa M9 and Avatar Stack

The discussion of the ultimate bass amp will definitely go on here for ever. I enjoy taking part in these conversations just as much as the next bass player. For my needs, my ears and the latin and funk music I play. I'll never require any more power or volume that would exceed the capacity of this amp system. The tone is the key for me. I am a tone geek and have full faith that I'll find the sweet spot with the M9. I'll update everyone once I've had a chance to plug in.

Just as a suggestion you can take or leave -- try the stack both ways (preferably on a couple of gigs at the same venue) with the 410 on top and then the 212 on top.

I would think the midrange sound would be the deciding factor on which you prefer.
Some people prefer the mids that 12's produce and some prefer that from 10's.
I notice that the HF driver is higher up in the cabinet on the 212 which will surely impact what you hear on-stage.
I would try playing with the tweeter level control on both cabs differently for each stack.

Typically, you'd want the tweeter in the cab on the bottom turned either all the way down or most of the way down to prevent interference with the HF from the top tweeter, then adjust the top cab tweeter level to taste.
Since the 212 HF driver is closer to your ear onstage, you might end up with its level set lower when that is the cab on top than that of the 410 when that is the cab on top.
Hope that makes sense.

Also, since the low end may be impacted by which cab is on the bottom, you can play around with how each sounds with different adjustments to the EQ of the lower frequencies.

I'd love to try one of those M9 into my EA CX-310!

I do appreciate your ideas and suggestions and will give them a try. This 212 has the lower frequency ceramic deltalites installed, which makes the cabinet a little heavier. I haven't heard or had experience with this particular 12 inch ceramic speaker. I am anxious either way to take a listen.
