My oldest son who started playing Bass, and is way ahead of me already good bassist. He is getting ready with his income tax return to buy a nice used Genz Benz GBE 1200 for 600 dollars. This amp is in very good shape. I know nothing about them will he be getting a good deal. He will be using a Aguilar 810 cab,and a Yamaha BB414X bass.

It sounds like a great deal. I wanted a 1200, but could only afford a 750. Can never have too much power. Doesn't mean you have to use it all, but it's there if you need it. Awesome amp. Very good choice, he should be quite happy with it.

Good deal without the footswitch, great deal with it - is he getting that too? Had mine for 5 years. Incredible versatility in the preamps, rock-solid construction, power to burn... can't blame him at all
