I have found some smoking deals in the last couple of weeks. First I found a closeout on Ampeg B2-RE heads for $300 brand new and today I scored an Aguilar GS410 cab. Sounded awesome together. Now if I sell my Marshall guitar stack I can afford the new Bass to go with it!

Congratulations on the great start! Were I the OP I would get a Squier CV 60's P and a Squier CV 60's J. Or see if I could find a nice MIJ/CIJ P and J set here in the classifieds or on evilbay in the right price range. Have fun finding what's right for you, dude. I am only making suggestions to allow you to have the most tones at your disposal. Cheers.

hi , just happened to be in this forum i have a cv-p and some others, but right now i like lakland dj-4, modulus vj-4 and alembic epic. this is my new trio. good gear is good gear but i always take three basses and two heads just in case. right now the sound of the vj-4 is "in" for recording.the dj-4 is a great passive ( with nord's ) and there is a reason they called it epic...........

just look at the sticker. I'll say. You can believe that. Even though the wood is grown in South America, the frets, paint, lacquer and electronics are made in China, tuners & bridge are made in Korea and strings made in Pakistan. But it's a American Made Bass!

Right on, I am trying to piece together a lefty Jazz that looks close to this. Since you "licked the neck" may I ask how did that taste? Just teasing, all the best! Cheers.
