Thank you Ken (KJUNG) and others for the great advice you provided on the Bergantino AE 410.

I can't wait for rehearsal this weekend and our first gig next weekend

Yes that's two 4 ohm cabs on a QSC 1804. 1800 watts on tap. (It's like driving a Veyron on I 94. I'm barely pushing it.

1210L 39 lbs
AE 410 60 lbs
They fit in my Volkswagen CC!

My preamp

You gotta like mids

Ok all kidding aside. My tone goals are very similar to what Mike Dirnt achieves live. I've tested a few 810 cabinets over the last few months. The best sounding to me was an early 80s Ampeg SVT 810e. That sucker had quite a bark to it. At 130+ pounds, I could barely move it around. Totally impractical for my transport resources.

I used to have two 1210Ls. I got the bark but not enough boom. I read a lot of feedback here about the punch and the articulate upper mids of AE 410 vs other cabinets. My theory was it would compliment the strong lower mids of the 1210l. So far, in my home studio, so good.

This weekend we'll see if it sits on top of the kick drum and right below my guitarist's Marshall bottom.

Guys like Ken and Ed do a great job showing off test equipment on video but very few folks demo pick style. I will say that some of Ken's slapping does get close, though.
