Fine Idea

Super cool. Are you charging a battery? If so what kind?
What do you use to regulate the power supply to the head?
That is a LOT of voltage...I'm surprised you are getting 4 hours.
Post schematics and other details. I'm not sure I can make this work in Chicago in the winter, but I'd love to see what the costs and benefits are with such a rig.

I'm guessing you've got a battery for charging or you'd only be playing outdoor day gigs.
ha.
but regardless, how's the sag?
is your whole band solar powered?

There's a battery that it's charged . Then a power converter and a Voltage regulator ! I'll post the schematics soon . It's very cheap to make it !

This is a way to make people to think about ecologic ideals ! We made a show 100% Solar powered in 1999 ! As time goes by the solar powered systems are getting cheaper and lighter. We should keep our planet clean and we should try to find some renewable energy method ! This is just a question of ideal ! Obvious that it's easier to plug it on a wall socket !

What size battery are you using? Given it's size, that panel puts out 150-200W continuous under best-case conditions. With 90% efficiency on a MPPT charge controller and about the same on an inverter, you're only getting ~80% of the power out of the panel to your load (amp) - and much less to the speakers.

Just trying to make sense of the numbers. Cool idea, though!

We play a venue close to here that is all solar powered. Not a grid line in sight.
I'll give a two thumbs up!

Dude, amazing! I have a couple of questions...

How much will it power? Is it just enough for your rig or everybody's?

What are the limitations to it? Has it ever conked out on you?

How small-stage friendly is it?

Thanks for helping save the planet! It probably offsets my
coal-powered rig a little.
