Unhappy My SWR Super Readhead has the "Clacks"

I have a Super Redhead that has Eminence replacement speakers. I am using this with a SWR Triad cab and am experiencing a "Clack" sound when the overdrive lights come on. I am virtually sure that it isn't the speakers, so the question is, is this a typical problem in this amp?. It just sucks that this thing clanks out at at performance volume. I mean, there is no transition to any distortion, it just clanks when the overdrive (both preamp and amp overdrive) lights come on..... regardless of the pitch. Can any of you folks help?

Had the same problem with a Baby Blue. Some sort of distortion when driving 2 ohm loads that the tweeter doesn't like...try turning off the tweeters, the sound will go away.

My advice: don't run SWR amps at 2 ohms regardless of what the manual says.
