Mystery 8x10 Cab

I just bought this cab and it has no information on it anywhere. I'm pretty sure its an Ampeg. Any info would be appreciated.

First those look a lot more like 12" speakers to me. Interesting design but I doubt it is Ampeg personally.

Did you measure the diameter of the speaker basket? If you have 10" of actual cone diameter that will be a 12" basket speaker. Cone diameter of 10" speakers is generally between 8.5" to 9".

I didn't put a ruler up next to them but they're smaller than 12s. I mostly play guitar so I'm pretty familiar with 12s.

Looks like it could be a pretty good guitar cab!

It sounds great! We're just really curious about what it is!
Here's it set up in my guitar rig the other night.

Lightbulb Wow!

Sorry I don't know what it is, but it looks very interesting.
Back then I can't think of any manufacturers that used 32 ohm CTS other than Ampeg, any Canadians know what did Traynor use back then?.
It might be someone's creative take on an Ampeg SVT flat back but shrunk a bit in hight, for some transport reason maybe.

Looks custom due to the look of the chamfers on the battens top and bottom MI cabinet makers only usually do straight lines and its unlikely that would be stock to high volume production.

The fact they are rear mounted with four hold sown screws each tells me it's a very cool custom build. I would be inclined to play with it on its side. The last time I saw square drive screws I was building a 1936 Chevrolet series II Low Cab truck

Could be a re-baffled V2 or B25 cab. What are the dimensions of the cab. Amped didn't make too many rear loaded cabs (removable back panel )

That was once an Ampeg. That's the thumb screw hole for the dolly.

I'll have to get the measurements next time that I'm at our practice space.

Yeah I'm thinking it was at some point a B25 2x15 cab that has been converted into an 810.
