Hello Tb'ers,

New amp and cab coming from the Bay to me for a (very) late birthday present(I've been waiting since November for this).

I Just picked up brand new Peavey VB-2 and a 410 Cab. Both are NOS essentially, never sold from the shop and I will be the first owner. I think I got it for a steal and I can't wait. Pics to be posted once It gets here

looks like a 410tvx, which is different than the Tour 410 IIRC. hope you have a strong back lol

You know I noticed that, main diff besides the extra what... 30 pounds or so is the speakers which will be the old celestions. After I noticed that, I'm considering selling this cab instead of my SWR. One stays, one goes....and so the cycle continues

You are correct. To be clear, I wasnt downing the cab at all. I played many-a gig with a Tour 700 ontop of a 410tvx. Gobs of tone and lowend for days, but it took alot of EQ to get a decent mid-punch, even from my 'Ray. Be sure to give it a good test drive before you sell. Just might like it :rocker:

I've actually owned one before, it took a lot of power to make it sing. It might be ok paired with a 210. either way, I'll be happy with the head

Got the shipping weight from the UPS tracking number... 70lbs.

Definitely not right for a tvx, and I believe spot on for a tour 410. So, hopefull the amp won't be something other than pictured too, well, perhaps if they sent a vb-3 by mistake, that would be ok.

But not the way I wanted. It looks like it was dropped from about 6 feet in shipping, the particleboard sides are cracked on both sides, and the tolex split as these pictures will tell. I'm trying to work it out with the seller, get them to cover the cost of the repairs. On the plus side, the amp is still fully functional! Go Peavey! I'm sure this can fixed with wood glue and some time clamped up. After I hear back from the seller I'm going to follow up with Peavey customer support to make sure the work won't void the warranty, which sadly doesn't cover shipping damage.

The seller is being really cool about this and is initiating the claim with UPS, and althought I'd be fine with them just footing the cost of repairs, it seems is going to ship me a new head instead. I'll keep updating as more info comes to light.
