$189 for protective plastic!
I bet the amp will sound better than the plastic though.

You know, I really want a B15 one of these days, but for now, the B100R is filling the void quite nicely.

I've had both, a '63 B15N and an '05-or-so B100R. The B15N didn't sound that much better than the B100R, and the maintenance and repair costs on the older one made my choice of the newer one a no-brainer.

Same Rig

Nice setup! Mine is exactly the same.

I finally bought a real bass and amp after years of a junker since I am mainly a guitar guy. After seeing your gear pic I felt like I should register and act like a bass player. Is that a reissue or an actual vintage P? Mine is a AVRI 62.

I will post a pic when I get back from the holidays.

Great score. These heavy little suckers are totally impractical for my life in a house with many, many stairs, but I love the sound and concept of these amps. Genuine classics!

Nice, definitely post a pic!

That's my 1973 Fender P-Bass. It's all original except for the nut. Great bass in every way!

Yeah its ~60lbs. It's pretty much parked in its spot and only getting used as a practice amp so the weight is really not an issue for me.

I just needed something that wasn't super loud even on a low setting like my Ampeg SVT and GK 800RB through my Berg NV610 or Accugroove Whappo Jr.

This little guy does get pretty loud for what it is, but I'll never have to lug it out anywhere.

Oh and I forgot to mention, I may buy one of those Tech 21 VT Pedals to get a some of that signature Ampeg SVT tone on top of the nice B-15 vibe this thing has.

Any thoughts?

Wow, fantastic price. I paid about $250 for my B50R used and it wasn't in as good of condition as yours. The logo is missing.

I've got two, both USA, that I paid 300 each for. The most recent one still has the plastic and I just could not let it stay at the store. I can't wait to use them both on a gig, for now it's nice to always have one here to practice on and the other is my main gig amp.

That pic with the old P is awesome.
