I was scanning craigslist today for any nasty little tube amps to drive to their edge with one of my basses and spotted this beauty. I purchased it off of a drummer who the prior owner left it to when he passed away and it's sat ever since. It hasn't even been powered on since the rectifier went out in '95. I know it's shopward bound but I wanted to share my joy.
Does anyone else feel that this is exceptionally clean for it's age? I haven't even wiped off the dust yet. Most of the crap seen on it is just dust/dirt in the sunlight.
More pics to come!

| | | | Exceptional condition. Congrats. Yes it is a 67. That cabinet was short lived so it gives away the date.

That would also make it a single baffle cab. The circuit revision would be B15NF in case you see that mentioned and so it would be a 30 watt fixed bias model. Great amp, very nice score.
As far as repairs, these amps are very easy and relatively cheap to maintain. A cap job will run you about 90-100 max and new tubes aren't too bad either so as long as the transformers are good you won't have to invest much should it need work. |

In the last pic above it looks like some sort of tan basket weave. Typically the '67's had the same kind of blue/silver cloth like what you find on SVT's; and on older amps it can take on shades of brown or green as it fades.

Can't forget where you come from. Much love "poor man's b15"....
Moving on... Who's a good amp tech that's not Randy from Vintage Amp Repair? He's a great guy but it seems like he's got a lot going on right now and I don't want to throw another amp at him. Columbus area. This B15 needs a resuscitated! |

If any Columbus players wanna come by and noodle and/or jam on it, they'd be welcome to too! Just keep in mind it's all in our awesome but fairly stereotypical overstuffed campus house.
Anyways... Help me fix it and then it can make everyone happy! |

Originally they had a second extension cabinet. They were quite rare. Quote:
