I've been wanting one of these ever since I played through it while testing the Uber 410 that I ended up buying. As you can see below I ended up buying another as well.
It's been about a year or so and finally have felt financially comfortable enough to buy it. I bought it today, got it home, and man... Fantastic! I love the sounds I'm getting! I can't believe how light it is. I thought my B2000 was light but this thing is feather light in comparison. I'm still messing with it but am excited and had to share!

If you move around a lot, you might want to loop your instrument cable through the cabinet handle so you don't accidently pull the amp off the stack.

I was flipping a coin between the SM 12.0 and the TC RH450 when everyone was ranting and raving about the RH450 kept it about 2 months. As you know the RH450 can't push 2 4 ohm cabinets. Flipped it and got the SM 12.0 and have not looked back since. Two 4 ohm cabinets through the SM 12.0 is all you'll need IMHO.
Enjoy!

My bass goes into my pedal poard so I tend to worry about that end more but I don't move around nearly enough anyway... But that reminds me... What's your advice on protecting the head? Rack ears and a case?

Protection? It depends on your needs. If you are touring and other folks are handling your gear, I would definately suggest a rack mount kit and small ATA style case. If you are hanling it yourself and are even reasonably careful, a carry bag may be plenty. So the answer is "it depends".

As the old saying goes, it's better to be safe the sorry. Quote:

I'm problaby going to go with the rack ears and small case anyway though just to be safe. I really like the carry bags though...
