NAD!!! Orange Terror Bass

My honey just bought me an Orange Terror Bass 500 with some of the tax refund. I barely got any of my work done today waiting for it to arrive. Luckily it arrived right before band practice.

HOLY CRAP!!!! I love this amp. Tons of power, great tones....Exactly what I've been looking for!

I needed to share my excitement with you guys. If anyone wants to share some settings you use with the Terror Bass I'd like to try 'em out. Unfortunately I don't get to play at loud enough volumes (really hate apartment living) unless I'm at band practice, so I really haven't got to play around with it much yet.

Anyway...now the GAS moves on to a new cabinet....

When I'm playin alone, I love to cut mids, treble and volume, and boost (at 3 o'clock) the gain. You get a nice and sexy drone fuzz, thought it's nearly unusuable in a band context...

At rehearsals I just keep the EQ flat and volume/gain at 9 o'clock. It's more than enough, even at 8 ohms!

Thanks WhoSeyes! I'll have to give that a try....

The power is more than I need, but exactly what I want (if that makes sense). I only used the upper half of an ampeg 8x10 today and was almost over powering the rest of the band....

Orange makes some mighty fine amps. What kind of cabs are you using now and what are you looking at?

well...i have a GK 4x10....but i always use my singers ampeg 8x10.....i'm trying to decide if i want to get another 4x10 or just go for it all with an 8x10 of my own..i'm young enough...my back can take an 8x10 for a few years...haha

I usually have the treble at 10 0'clock the mid at 12 and the bass at 2. Seems to give me a nice full tone with nice deep bass.
