Two inputs, six knobs, and 100 watts. It sounds like wonderfully aggressive garage band heaven. It was a perfect match for the Ric and Mesa cabs. I can't wait to get this next project off the ground.

I was running it as follows and loving it:

Gain: 12:00
Treble: cut to ~10:00
Mids: 12:00
Bass: ~ 1:30
Saturation: almost maxed (I love that it blends into the clean signal!)
Master: I tried this from nothing to all the way and it kept going and sounding killer. A perfect fit to my Mesa cabs, I'd say.

The sound of this rig is actually pretty reminiscent of the Acoustic Control Corp stacks, notably the 408 cab and I want to say it was a 370 head. Oh yeah, the best part? $60.

Dingy basement with 3 lights in it pics:

Cheap old working peaveys are always great fun.

For sure. I'm about to give them a second run.

Edit: Impressions round two:

I ran my SX Gypsy Rose lefty PJ (flipped and strung to righty) and played it with a pick mostly. This bass has a lot more output and really gets that parallel distortion sizzling. The doom/stoner/jam band that wants me to be a part of it might just see me drop by with these. What a wonderful bass for doom! An upside down sparkly pink one!

I honestly think I'd be okay using this head instead of my 1001RB-II for this new band. Wow. I had no idea that I'd really like these old Peavey heads. I kind of want to find a mate for this one...
