NAD Sort of Vintage Ampeg B-15T

Picked this up today from CL. The seller said it was from the mid to late 70's based on his internet searches and the serial number. According to others on TB it is late 80's to early 90's. I would say they are correct based on the look of the amp. Either way it's cool and I only paid $150 for it. It's in very good shape overall. Only a couple of small holes in the tolex. Only tried it out for a few minutes thus far but really liking the tone of the cabinet. It does a nice job of getting that warm Ampeg tone.

My cousin had one from this series (although not exactly like yours)
Very good amps.
I have the older model with the luminescent light up face; I actually sold a real B-15 over this amp as I wanted more clean power. I was younger then but still use my transistor flip top. I think the price is very good although I don't think the cops will come round like you stole it!

Anyone know where I can get a replacement logo? The current one is plastic and is about 3" x 4".

I've got another question about this amp. There are two small triangular ports cut out at the bottom on either side of the speaker. Since these are just cut outs and not actual tuned ports are they really doing much?
I had one of the PF115he sealed cabinets and really liked how it sounded. Would it be worth the effort to seal these openings to try to create a sealed cabinet?

These are cool. I used one for a few years as a Band practice amp.
100 watts, big Ampeg tone.
The are heavy.

"Ports" don't require length to be functional. Before ported cabs, bass reflex were just full or 3/4 port openings (based on the actual active cone area). You could seal them to see if you like the sound better (you will loose some sound output).

Outstanding deal

It's an early '90's model. I have the one before it, same model with white graphics. I paid $450 for mine in L.A. a few months ago.

Great job and nice amp.

I would love to see some pics of yours for comparison.

I finally opened up the amp today and checked the codes on the pots and capacitors. They are all from 1987 and the transformer is early 1988. So I'm going to say this amp was made in '88.
