NAD: USA Ampeg SVT-VR and LDS nEarful cabs

I fired up my new amp rig today. It's a USA Ampeg SVT-VR into a pair of LDS "tall" nEarful 15/6 cabs.

The result? Tonal heaven.

I had received the first cab a few weeks ago, and the second cab arrived Thursday. The SVT arrived yesterday.

I have had a plethora of amps over the past 38 years of bass playing (I am 54...started playing bass when I was 16), and in fact I had an SVT Classic amp and fridge cab circa 2002. It was "okay" but nothing to write home about. But this SVT-VR is the BOMB! Tonal bliss!! IMO it sounds WAY better than the SVT Classic. And it sounds fantastic through the pair of LDS cabs. Holy smokes, what low end! I mean it's a low end that you can feel as well as hear. These cabs are incredible. They are loaded with the 3015LF and the 18Sound 6NM410 mid driver with a Ralf Patterson crossover at 800 hertz. I had Don at LDS make the baffles mirror image so that the mid drivers would be near each other when the cabs are stacked on their sides. These cabs put out MASSIVE sound, and yet each cab only weighs 52 pounds. An easy schlep. The SVT-VR is not an easy schlep, but THAT TONE is worth it. I have a US Lakland Glaub P bass, a Ric 4003, and a Fender Custom Shop Jazz, and all three basses sound freakin fantastic through this rig. And yes, I know, no pic....no amp, so here's the pic:

Cool rig! I would love to hear that in person!
I recently had the chance to hear a 15/6 for the first time, powered by an M9 and I can't stop thinking about it
Enjoy!

Thanks lookiel. The 15/6 Greenboy design is everything people say it is. It's the real deal.
