I am currently awaiting delivery of a Aguilar S810 cab.
Should be a step up from my mutt SWR 2x15 cab....
...I just sold my pair of Carvin BRX10.2 2x10 neo cabs to cover the 8x10. They were great cabs, but a 4x10 was too small for gigging without PA support.
I've heard a lot of good comments about the Aguilar S Series. People that owned them, loved them. People that read about them, complained about the MDF construction.

As much as I have tried to get away from an 810, I allways find Myself going back. IMO, no other cab set-up that I've tried will do what they do. |

Anyways, congrats! Glad to hear you found a cab that'll keep up. |

Was the S series ported or does the S stand for "Sealed"?

Not sure?
I think the S810 is rear ported and tweeterless.

It's so much tighter than my 2x15, which is something I was hoping for....but the low end is still there...just not as tubby. The lack of a tweeter isn't a problem for me, as I never use them anyway.
I'll be able to try it with the band next week at full volume....we're getting back into it and have gigs and recording to do.
The construction seems top notch. MDF doesn't seem to be a weak point. Weight does, it's a heavy beast....but that's ok.
I'm thinking about making some nylon rails for the back, so I can slide it up or down stairs a little easier.....and maybe a small painted steel kick panel for the back.
Overall, really happy with the cab.
