NCD: Hydrive Edition

Hey fellow tb'ers.
I don't post often, but I have to brag.

I just picked up this used hartke hydrive 410 from Guitar Center for $180.

I was perusing their used section and saw it. I thought it was a typo at first. I called them first thing this morning and sure enough, it was correct.

The guys I talked to were awesome. They were very helpful. The guy even held it for me because I couldn't get there till around 6, he said that there were even a few calls about the amp.

It took me about an hour longer to get there because of some random traffic jams? But once I did, I plugged in a mini acoustic head and grabbed a Fender active p/j. This was a good combination. I loved the sound. I knew I was going to buy it anyways because of its high praise, and man does this thing deserve it. I have it in my dorm right now, but I am excited to take it home and play this thing with my rig.

Also, this thing is light! I mean, my other cab is a Peavey 412 tvx, so this thing definitely gives my back a break.

Congrats! Maybe it's even one Victor played through on his way across country. Bass Northwest used to sell cabs that only got used for a single festival or concert sometimes for pretty cheap, so you might have gotten a similar deal.

Also, can anyone tell me what that weird sort of "pad" thing is on the Lh500?

The 'pad' I think you are referring to is a fan filter.

I know. I couldn't pass it up for that price.

And a fan filter, that makes sense. I had no clue what it was.
