Need 12" speaker suggestions for my cab.

I'm trying to get an old bass cab up and running for the bass player in my cover band. Someone recently gave me an Avatar 2x12 bass cab that was not working. It seems like both speakers are blown but the crossover and horn seem to work fine.

What are some good speakers for the lowest price that I can get for this cab to get it up and running? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Recones would be cheaper if they're available. Avatar will sort you out either way.

I've had very good luck with 10" Dayton PA drivers from PartsExpress. The best driver to put in any cab, is the one with the specs to match the cab. That said, if cost requires taking a chance (or a stab in the dark), these drivers worked well for me in a retro-fit. They are cheap, and have great specs. They have a 12" (PA310-8) that should fit the bill.

Slap a couple of these in that cab and wire it up in parallel to get a 4 ohm cab.
